Synopsis
Navigating adoption stigmas
The goal was to help families and pets find each other. To design an experience that will help connect people with the right companions and getting pets adopted before "aging out" of their shelters.
Onboarding is a series of short, multiple choice questions that help connect the dots between would-be families and their preferred pet. Best matches are pushed to the top of their search list. Families can choose to skip and revisit the onboarding questionnaire in their profile at their pace. Finishing with a fun loading animation to introduce our furry friends.
A currated list of available friends allows families to scroll through near-by matches and learn more about each pet — including their age, breed, personality, and health status. Families can also share profiles, favorite them or set-up time to meet in-person.
Favoriting a pet is a step in the right direction to getting them adopted. In order to achieve our third goal of making it easier to match would-be families with their preferred pet is the ability to easily book time to meet and bond with them first.
